How to change WhatsApp number?
- First, go to your WhatsApp app.
- Click the 3 dots icon on the top right.
- Now click on the Settings option.

- Again click on the next button at the bottom.
Now here you will get two options.
- Enter your old phone number with your country code.
- Enter your new phone number with your country code.
In the first option, you have to put the number on which your current WhatsApp account is open. In the next option, you have to put the new number that you want to transfer to your WhatsApp account.
- Then click on the Next button from below.
- Now you will get an option called Notify contacts.
When an option called Notify Contact will come in front of you. Then you enable this option from here. If this option is turned on the people who were in your contact list. As soon as your number is successfully changed, a notification will go to each of the people you have chatted with earlier. They will know through notification that your Whatsapp number has changed.

- All contacts
- Contacts I have chat with
- Customs…
If you select the “All Contacts” option from above. Then everyone in your contact list will get this notification. If you select the “contacts I have chatted with” option, only those with whom you have chatted before will receive this message. Now if you select the last “customs” option, you select 1/2/5 people, only they will get the notification to change your number.
If you want you can turn off this option and proceed. By doing this no one will get the notification of changing your number.
- Now click on the done option.
- Now you need to verify.
WhatsApp account is opened on your current number. If that SIM card is inserted in your phone. Then click on the continue button. By doing this, a missed call will come to your phone and then it will automatically verify.
And if your SIM card is on another mobile. Then click on the Verify Another Way option. Select whether you want to verify through SMS or a phone call. If you select through SMS then an OTP code will be sent to the mobile in which your SIM card is present through SMS. You have to verify the OTP code.

In the same way, if you click on the call me option then you will get a call on that phone and even after receiving that call, you need to know the OTP code. You have to verify the same with that code.
